This is who I am

Just an ordinary child

With big dreams

Yet I ask them, what do you see

They say I cannot think for myself

They say I am violent

They see nothing wrong when I am killed

They see me and they fear

They look at me with disgust

YES, I am black

But before my blackness I am human

Yet they seem not to understand

That being black makes me no less of a human.

I am nothing but an ordinary child.

About the artist

Kobina W. Sackey (he/him), also known as Clickseezy Photography, is a travel and documentary photographer from Ghana. He started photography only 4 years ago but has already worked with major Ghanaian companies and organizations. He has been nominated by several Ghanaian Art awards and has worked with non-governmental organizations such as Teach on the Beach (TOB) and the West African Health and Education Foundation (WAHEF). He strongly believes everyone can contribute to change.
