About the photo
A young woman sits in front of a line of police and national guardsmen being comforted by protesters.
My goal is to capture the visceral emotions and feelings of a scene and to tell a story in a single frame. Whether it's a person crossing the street or tens of thousands of people at a protest, my goal is to capture the moment in a way that is defining of what took place. I want to connect with the environment and document it for the world to see and judge accordingly.
