About the artist:
Charlotte Lapalus is a French photographer known for her intimate portrayal of femininity and warm tones that became indicative of her distinct and idyllic style. At the core of her art lies a deep interest in humanity and women empowerment.
This series was shot in 2019 at the Pink lake in Dakar, Senegal, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Autour de l’enfant. An ode to African women, nurtured by the pink water, revealing both their fragility and strength.
